Searched And Loved

Sweet Friends, I am hoping you feel blessed today. I am. I notice when I begin to feel this way, I think of you. I hope for the joy that’s filling my heart, which stems from the love of Christ, to be filling yours, as well. Nothing compares.

I am sitting on the water today. Big, open water. There’s a cool breeze caressing my skin and lifting my hair to tickle my neck. Sunlight is sparkling on the waves and warmly kissing my face. I see nothing but beauty for miles. I feel loved. So loved.

Friends, life isn’t easy. But God knows that. He longs for us to be in heaven with Him…where it’s always sunlit water (or whatever your fancy) and refreshing peace. But we aren’t there yet. What a joy knowing our future!

In the meantime, God provides respite; moments where we can sink into Him and feel His presence in ways we can’t on normal days. If you get a chance to be with Him, in a way you know will speak deeply to your heart, take it. Because it’s a blessed reminder that heaven isn’t that far. And our God is loving us right here, right now and walking us through it all.

In my meditation time on the lake today, God led me to Psalm 139. Friends, because I love you and because He loves you infinitely more, will you do something for our hearts? Will you please take time out today, even if you can’t make it to big, open water, and just read this beautiful, beautiful psalm as if you’ve never before? If you do, don’t read it as though it implies to everyone else. Read it knowing He is tenderly whispering His affections directly to your heart. You who feels unworthy. You who feels unlovable. You who feels ashamed. You who feels weary and so far from heaven. He is speaking to you.

We all feel weary from time to time. I came to the water feeling that way. But I won’t leave the same.

My friend, He is always speaking to us. But sometimes, we have to be pretty deliberate about shutting out the noise to hear His sweet, still voice. It’s worth it every single time.

Can you imagine being loved so much that even peering into the hidden recesses of your heart and reading your most private thoughts can’t change the depth of said love?

Imagine no longer. Now and forevermore,

you are loved.

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me!”

My friend, it is soooo important to be loved! It is the basis of our being. Without it our life has a void. We need it especially from those closest to us. Our words and actions should all be guided by love, the kind of love that God has instilled in us. Without that, what kind of life do we have?
I am so glad I have God in my life. I pray that those close to me could feel His love!
Thank you for taking me to Psalm 139 today. It’s one of my favorites!
