Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!!
What a blessed holiday…a day to remember all we’ve been given…a day for gratitude. I really really like Thanksgiving and look forward to celebrating it – as well the start of the Christmas season – these next few days. I love this time with family and friends and I love that we gather just to celebrate and honor the gifts we’ve been given in life. There are no presents to wrap…but warm meals to be made. As the fragrance fills our homes and those we love come close, we feel full again. And we are grateful.
Grace and gratitude go hand in hand, my friends. Today and every day, tell Him you gladly open your hands, heart and life to all He has for you. As He pours goodness in and fills you up, just be at peace and let the gratitude come.
Psalm 100…
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His,
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.
Father, thank you. A thousand thank yous! It never seems enough to say thanks and yet to you, it is. As you see joy and hope and peace fill our hearts in You, You are satisfied and we are made whole. May we feel full today and in the days to come with ALL the goodness You are. We open our hearts to receive and we’re thankful You are ready to give. Let thanksgiving be a permanent part of our lives as we begin to experience more fully the depth of your amazing grace and love. More than anything today, Lord, we thank you for our Savior and what He has made possible in our lives and the lives of those we love. Someday, we will all sit together with You in the greatest of feasts just marveling and reveling in a love and fullness so pure and so strong, there aren’t words to describe it. You deserve thanksgiving and praise beyond what we can give yet You love us the same and always will. Father, thank you. In Jesus’ precious name, thank you and Amen.
