How Big Is Our God?

Hello again, friends. Another Monday has come. From our limited perspective, life can sometimes feel like an unrelenting drone. Mondays are monotonous at best. They just keep coming. We just keep trying to put them behind us living more fully for the days offering freedom outside of tedious routine. But often, we’re right smack dab in the middle of a Monday.

That sounds brooding but maybe it doesn’t have to.

Maybe there’s a beauty in our routines some of us have yet to discover. Maybe the God of “fresh perspective” is patiently waiting today to be invited into our routines. I’ll bet He wants to show us something extraordinary.

Speaking of, I made mention yesterday of the sermon shared at my church. Our youth pastor gave a sermon designed and inspired by the Louie Giglio one I have posted below. I can’t get over how limited our perspective is at times but how BIG our God is. I say it again, if He is powerful enough to hold ALL of this together, we are in good hands – to say the least. Our youth pastor did an awesome job sharing some of the concepts found in this video and reminding me of the statement I just made. He entitled his sermon, “Whoa…” which pretty well sums things up. My hope is that you’ll take time to watch the video, find your own sense of “whoa” and then remember something as you enter back into your “routine”:

Life is anything but boring. It is a miracle beyond our wildest imaginations. And the God who is big enough to hold it all in His capable hands comes close enough to love you so intimately and so tenderly that you can actually feel His presence permeating the work of your own hands. Whoa. THAT’S how much you are LOVED. Just invite Him in and be in awe.

Blessings to you, my sweet miraculous friends. Did you know you’re a beloved child of the Star-Breather? If I could spend every hour of every day pointing to Him, I would.

I just hope that your readers will take the time to watch the entire video. It is SO worth it! How enlightening, I had no idea. It’s easy to get bogged down with all of the scientific facts & figures in the beginning, but it draws to such an amazing conclusion that I swear it gave me chills & brought me to tears. Why do Christians fear science? Maybe it’s because our culture has had such a hard time recognizing there could be a mix. When our eyes are opened to the facts, we are reminded that God created everything. How amazing! Once again you have taught another very worthwhile lesson, thank you.
