Fear Not

Hello, friends…

I’m thinking I will not have time to write much today but I did want to write something.

Have you heard there are 365 recorded messages in the Bible telling us not to fear? If that’s true, did God want us to be aware of that message all 365 days of the year?

Well, He certainly does make it an ongoing theme throughout His Word. There is no debating that.

How are we living up to that today? I know I fail greatly at times. I worry most about those I love and I often worry too much.

God is not mad at me for this. He does, however, desire that I would live differently. God longs to see us living outside the constraints of fear. If His Word tells us we can, then we have every reason to try and we have every reason to believe we can succeed.

So, today I encourage you to take your fears before Him. Ask for His help. Tell Him you’d like to live in the way He calls and put those fears out of your heart. Ask that you can better feel the perfect love with which He envelopes you. For in that love, there is no fear.

I am doing the same while keeping His words on my lips…

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“Do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

If fear and love cannot dwell in the same heart, what should we choose today?

Blessings to you, my friends. I will see you again tomorrow!
