Learning As I Go…

It’s Monday again! What more can one say about that?

So, it came to my attention a few days ago that the listed times for my posts as well as incoming comments were way off. This wasn’t a noticeable issue until I went to post “Ode To Gracie” on Friday, the 16th but the published post ended up displaying Saturday, the 17th as its date. I know I published that post late but it was well before midnight on Friday so why it showed the 17th was a bit of a mystery to me AND…it now looks like I wasn’t keeping up with my daily posting for the blogging challenge which in fact, I was.

I figured it must be a setting issue on my website and sure enough, it was. So, it is fixed…I think. So, for those of you thinking, hmmmmm…I didn’t post that comment at 3:00 a.m. and am certainly not the insomniac I seem, it should not be an issue from here on out. As far as this fixing the already published times, I’m not sure anything can be done about that.

Wait a minute! I just Googled it! I think I can change it! I’ll be right back…

Wow! Done! Fixed!! And super easy.

Honestly, where would I be without Google?

So, I fixed the Gracie post but I am sure there are many comments posted that have the incorrect time. I’m sure you’ll forgive that and as we move forward, all should be well…and in the correct time zone.

Life is a learning process, my friends. I don’t know about you but I no longer find it intimidating that there is so much out there to learn. It is part of the fun of life. We are always learning. We are always growing. That is such a beautiful blessing.

One of my most favorite scripture verses is 2 Corinthians 3:18…

All of us are looking with unveiled faces at the glory of the Lord as if we were looking in a mirror. We are being transformed into that same image from one degree of glory to the next degree of glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

That is the Common English Bible translation by the way but I love every translation of that verse I read.

It is so comforting to know that, no matter your age or what you may or may not believe about yourself, if you are coming close to God, He is transforming you. He is helping you learn and grow. He is making you wiser and moving you toward the next degree of glory as we speak!

He never leaves you where you are. Tomorrow is a new discovery altogether!

I really like that. There are so very many things I want to change about myself. But I take these things one day at a time with the complete assurance that I am a WIP (Work In Progress) and God is not through with me yet.

Which reminds me of another favorite scripture:

Philippians 1:6 – And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Friends, we are so blessed to be His.

Don’t ever think for a moment you’re stuck with something about yourself you’d like to change. God’s got you. And you are closer to your next degree of glory than you could ever realize.

Blessings to you on this beautiful day. I’ll be back tomorrow.

One more thing, I have a very sweet friend having a birthday tomorrow and this is for her…

Dear One, you deserve parades and applause of celebration on your day. But it will most likely feel like any other day because of the place you’re in right now. I hope you know how loved you are despite that and that I am celebrating you in my heart as well as many, many others. Your Father in Heaven is looking down on you and smiling at His lovely creation as you are the embodiment of 2 Corinthians 3:18. I am often amazed by each new degree of glory displayed in such beautiful wisdom and love. Keep on growing, sweet friend. You have so much to offer this world and you haven’t even begun to realize your full potential. You are so loved. Happy Birthday!!

I am still growing, & in so many ways it is thanks to you! Sometimes it takes a lot of practice to get it right. This applies to life as well as just daily living. Lord knows I still have trouble figuring out my cell phone much less Blogs or Posts, so I am happy that you were able to make corrections. I understand your gratitude to everyone who comments, but I’m not sure you understand how grateful we are that you’ve allowed us to read your deepest thoughts & feel your heartfelt emotions. I’ve been lucky enough to see first hand the rare beauty of my Jessie, inside & out. Just know we appreciate your insight, candor, sometimes entertaining, & always enlightening food for thought. Your great love & exceptional faith sets an example for everyone, I am very proud!
